Postdoc Writing Accountability Groups Event on February 16

UA Postdoctoral Affairs is excited to announce this spring semester's Writing Accountability Groups!

 

A postdoctoral appointment is an excellent opportunity to build your research and publication record. But writing can be an intimidating process. Research shows that writing groups improve publication rates and promote work-life balance. This spring, Postdoctoral Writing Accountability Groups will meet every two weeks to set short-term goals and share progress toward those goals.

 

Join us for a launch meeting on Thursday, February 16th to learn more. Before the meeting, please send RSVP to Sarah Richman, uapostdocs@gmail.com, with you name, department, and days/times you would be available for regular meetings. We will use this in formation to create groups based upon availability.

 

At the meeting, there will be a short discussion on the structure and process of how writing accountability groups work and evidence for why they work. Small interdisciplinary groups (5-6 members) will be organized at that time to help you accomplish your spring writing goals.

 

If you cannot attend but would still like to be organized into a group, please email uapostdocs@gmail.com by February 15th with your name, department, and availability to receive a group assignment.
