Considering careers beyond the professoriate or just interested in learning more? The Career Forward series is for you. This semester the Graduate Center, Postdoctoral Affairs, and UA Corporate Engagement Services' Director, Jim Jindrick, are partnering to offer three sessions to help researchers demystify the common language and processes used in business and entrepreneurship, enable understanding of how to translate academic job market documents to markets beyond the Academy, and share best practices for making job market documents like CVs, Resumes, and cover letters, be as effective and polished as possible.

This seminar will provide a Roadmap that contains the elements required to put innovation to work. Going on the job market can be a daunting task. The workshop will provide an overview of job market documents often used for applying to positions outside of academia, such as nonprofits, government, and business. Attendees will learn how their academic job market documents can be translated to other employers and vice versa.
