Graduate Writing Lab Summer Services - Graduate Writing Tutors, Writing Efficiency Sessions, Graduate Writing Groups. Our summer services begin after Memorial Day on May 30. Please see our website for more information or reach out with any questions to Shelley Hawthorne Smith: shellh@arizona.edu.

The renowned writer Tom Brady once said, “I just love working hard. I love being part of a team; I love working toward a common goal.” Okay, maybe Brady was talking about something other than writing, but if you are thinking about your writing goals for the summer, we want you to know that there is a team to help you. At the Graduate Writing Lab, a collaboration between the Graduate Center and THINK TANK, we work together to help you achieve your writing goals, and having a team makes a huge difference.

We have the following services to help you achieve your summer writing goals:

  • Graduate Writing Tutors - Work with trained, certified peer tutors at any point in the writing process. Summer sessions are held on Zoom.
  • Writing Efficiency Sessions - Join us for two-hour, laid-back yet structured, sessions to help you get writing done.
  • Graduate Writing Groups - These month-long groups provide structure to help you make progress on writing intensive projects. All groups are open to everyone, but this summer we have groups specifically for Indigenous Students, Women in Science, and Dissertating Writers in Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.

Our summer services begin after Memorial Day on May 30. Please see our website for more information or reach out with any questions to Shelley Hawthorne Smith: shellh@arizona.edu.
