The Graduate Center Multipurpose Room is a fantastic space for a variety of events. We envision using the space for workshops, small seminars, and more. Graduate College and Postdoctoral Affairs affiliated units may reserve the room during business hours (8 AM to 5 PM). Building tenants will receive priority for scheduling. All requests must be made through the reservation request form. There is no cost for reserving the Multipurpose Room.

Reservations are not confirmed until the organizer receives a confirmation email from the Graduate College.
The Graduate College reserves the right to bump with 72 hours’ notice a recurring (or, on occasion, other) event for a special one-time event. If this occurs, the Graduate College will attempt to find alternate space within the Graduate Center or Graduate College controlled space if at all possible. The Graduate College will not bump regularly colloquia or meetings scheduled for building tenants.
Event organizers are responsible for arranging all logistics, including configuration of the space as needed and providing additional tables and/or chairs, food, beverage, signage, promotion, etc. After the conclusion of an event, the room needs to be returned to the standard workshop configuration.
Event organizers are responsible for cleaning the room and disposing of trash and recycle. Should fully catered meals be offered in the room, event organizers are required to submit a special events custodial request through Facilities Management's special event request form. After arranging the custodial request, please forward the confirmation email to gradcenter@email.arizona.edu; we reserve the right to cancel your event if we do not receive this confirmation. Items such as light snacks and refreshments do not require an FM Special Events Request to be filed; however, event organizers are responsible for cleanup of the room, and will be held responsible for any damages.
The Graduate College does not offer same day IT support for events. A walkthrough of the room and technology test can be requested through the reservation form. Walkthroughs must be scheduled at least 2 days in advance of your event.
Food and beverage are allowed in Graduate Center meeting spaces, provided all UArizona catering policies are followed. For UArizona groups, Arizona Catering Company must provide all catering services valued at more than $750. If the catering costs are less than $750, the organizer has a choice of Arizona Catering Company or a caterer from the UArizona-approved Catering List. Please know that if you are catering a full meal as part of your event, Facilities Management must be notified via the Facilities Management's special event request form to arrange custodial staff presence to empty trash, restock restrooms, and keep the building clean. After arranging custodial, please forward the confirmation email to gradcenter@email.arizona.edu; we reserve the right to cancel your event if we do not receive this confirmation. Items such as light snacks and refreshments do not require an FM Special Events Request to be filed; however, event organizers are responsible for cleanup of the room, and will be held responsible for any damages.
Afterhours and weekend events may only be scheduled by the Graduate Center or Postdoctoral Affairs. Afterhours events are those that start or end outside of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
