Hunter O'Brien is a doctoral student in the Clinical Translational Sciences program at UArizona’s Phoenix campus. Growing up in Chandler, Arizona, he attended Arizona State University and majored in health sciences. There, he discovered an interest in cancer biology and cancer immunotherapy. Hunter hopes to contribute to the discovery of new, more effective, and more accessible cancer therapies. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he worked as a Patient Care Technician at HonorHealth Osborn. Following graduation, he joined the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a data coordinator in breast cancer research. In his free time, Hunter enjoys playing pickleball, spending time with friends and family, and gaming, among other hobbies.
