Kama is a doctoral student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering where she researches brain-inspired computing. Originally hailing from Western Nebraska, she earned a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona. Her research is focused on creating and optimizing biologically-inspired neural networks in hardware. Kama finds inspiration in art, nature, science fiction, and interactions with others. Outside of her research, she enjoys live music, meeting new people, exploring, and spending time with her partner and dogs.
