Miracle Macias Burgos is a doctoral student in the Clinical Translational Sciences Program. She is from Los Angeles, California, and is the daughter of Ecuadorian immigrants. Prior to coming to the University of Arizona, Miracle graduated from Northern Arizona University with bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Psychological Sciences and a Masters in Psychological Sciences. Her research interests explore substance use, serving minoritized communities, community health interventions, and prevention science. Outside of the University, Miracle enjoys traveling, reading, and solving puzzles.
