Sara Townsend

Sara Townsend is a Graduate Assistant with the Graduate Writing Lab. She believes that writing is an incredible tool for self-empowerment and enjoys helping others find their writing voice. Sara helps coordinate and improve Graduate Writing Lab programs. She also provides direct services to students as a Writing Tutor. Sara is pursuing a PhD in School Psychology, has a Bachelor of Arts in Honors English and Gender/Women’s Studies, and completed post-baccalaureate training in Psychological Science. She has experience in teaching, program development and management, policy development, and crisis response. Her research focuses on classroom ecologies and social justice in schools. During her downtime, Sara enjoys birding and trying new cooking techniques.
