Savanah Pennell is a Chicanx artist, curator, and scholar, whose research focuses on Spanish Colonial art of the Southwest and contemporary Latinx art. Raised in the borderlands of Arizona, her work is influenced by ancestral knowledge and Decolonial and Postcolonial theory. In 2016, she received her BA in Art History from Arizona State University, and she graduated with her MA in Arts Politics from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University in 2019. Outside of her work, Savanah loves watching movies, gardening, and traveling.
