Maximizing LinkedIn and Creating Professional Connections

Use your online presence to your advantage to support your job qualifications and deliver a professional image. Companies are more likely to hire candidates they can find and view favorably online and that come with a peer referral. Come develop your professional profile and practice some simple strategies for creating and maintaining valuable professional connections. You will create a networking plan using LinkedIn and other avenues to help you develop a professional network. This event will be via zoom only, is only for graduate students and postdocs and registration is required.
This workshop is part of the Preparing for Business, Nonprofit, and Government Job Application Series. This series of participatory workshops focuses on careers beyond academia and addresses topics such as creating your LinkedIn profile and professional connections, developing efficient job search strategies, tailoring job materials for specific jobs, and preparing for different types of interviews.
