Personal Statements 101
This asynchronous, online workshop offers five steps for crafting a personal statement. Sign up for help walking through the process of writing a personal statement that speaks to your audience. The workshop will provide an overview of the types of writing graduate school requires and campus resources to help graduate students succeed as writers.

Citation Management Basics with Zotero
Learn from a U of A librarian about using the citation management tool Zotero to help you collect, organize, cite, and share research. We will cover how to import and organize references in Zotero and quickly insert citations and bibliographies into Word and Google Docs. You will also be introduced to functionality which allows you to collaborate with other researchers.

Exploring Ethical Uses of AI in Academic Writing and Research
The Graduate Writing Lab invites current graduate students to join us for an open dialogue on the use of artificial intelligence in academic writing and research. This is not a training or demonstration of AI tools. Instead, this session offers a space for critical reflection, shared learning, and an opportunity to engage with the implications and possibilities of AI in the context of graduate-level scholarship. Writing professionals across campus have collaborated to create workshops that help ABD students at the beginning, middle, or end of the dissertation. Find materials in our shared folder online. Use your UArizona NetID and password to login.

- Literature Review 2.0: Synthesizing Information: An overview of strategies for synthesizing information gathered from secondary sources, including how and when to paraphrase and use direct quotations.
- Avoiding Wordiness in Academic Writing: Materials help writers identify and fix common causes of sentence-level wordiness.
