Thais Rodrigues Cons works as a Graduate Assistant for the Graduate Center Office of Fellowships (GCOF) and the Graduate Writing Lab (GWL). With a Master's in Applied Linguistics, years of experience teaching English as an Additional Language, and expertise in editing, translating, and working with technical genres, Thais is a PhD student in Rhetoric, Composition & the Teaching of English at the University of Arizona. She previously served as a consultant and researcher at CAPA, the first Writing Center in her home country Brazil. She is excited to apply her passion for writing and identity to support fellowship applicants and graduate writers. Her research interests include Technical and Professional Writing, Critical Digital Literacies, Multilingual Writing & Identity, and Writing Centers. When not working, Thais enjoys biking, running, and chasing sunsets in Tucson. She also loves to stay indoors petting her cat, Dijon, with a good book and a cup of coffee, and experimenting with dessert recipes.
