Graduate Student Success Series: Sarrah Hannon
The Graduate Center is delighted to celebrate Sarrah Hannon, a doctoral candidate in Pharmacology and Toxicology, for receiving the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award for Predoctoral Fellows (F31) from the National Cancer Institute.
“As a non-traditional student with no previous research experience, writing a successful grant was crucial to my career development as an independent principal investigator in academia. The Graduate Center’s F31 Award Readiness (FAR) workshop guided me in writing a diversity F31 grant application as a scientist with physical disabilities. The grant was recently awarded to me, and the FAR program played a huge role in that accomplishment.”
