Diego Delgado is a Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering Master’s student at the University of Arizona, specializing in biomaterials and tissue engineering. He also earned his B.S. in Biosystems Engineering from the same institution in 2025.

Originally from Arequipa, Peru, Diego works as a Graduate Assistant on the Graduate Center’s Communications team, contributing to article writing, branding, strategies, and content creation. He supports all Graduate Center Initiatives as well as the Graduate College's wider communication goals.

Diego has long been active in campus community life. During his undergraduate studies, he served as an Operations Assistant with the Basic Needs Center’s Campus Pantry, supporting supplemental grocery access for students, and as a Peer Mentor with the Thrive Center’s New Start Program, guiding incoming engineering students through their transition to university life. He also contributed as a Research Assistant on Vertically Integrated Projects applying AI to healthcare, including breast cancer image classification and virtual patient simulation tools.

Outside academics, Diego is an animal lover! Rabbits are his favorite, and he has two of his own, along with a poodle named Sol.
