Build Financial Confidence this Spring with Financial Wellness Resources

Financial well-being is a critical part of graduate student success, yet many students navigate financial decisions without structured support. The Graduate Center’s new Financial Wellness website was designed to help graduate students build confidence and clarity around money through beginner-friendly, values-based tools. If you’re not sure where to start, the Identify section is a great entry point, offering reflective resources to help you understand your money mindset, align financial decisions with personal values, and reduce financial stress. The hub also features CashCourse, a free interactive platform that helps students develop practical skills like budgeting, managing debt, and planning for financial milestones during and after graduate school.

Students who engage with financial wellness resources often report feeling more empowered and less overwhelmed when making financial decisions. Whether you’re navigating funding uncertainty, preparing for post-grad transitions, or simply trying to build better financial habits, starting with small, structured steps can make a meaningful difference.

This spring, the Graduate Center is partnering with Campus Health and the Take Charge America Institute to offer a series of workshops that build on these skills and support holistic well-being, Registration for the workshops is open now:

  • Managing Financial Stress in Grad School

    March 3, 4 PM to 5 PM MST, Zoom

    This workshop focuses on understanding and managing the financial stressors that many graduate students face.

     

  • Financial Success After Grad School

    April 7, 4 to 5 PM MST, Zoom

    Designed for both graduating students and those early in their programs, this workshop explores how to prepare financially for life after graduate school.

     

  • Quick and Healthy Meals on a Budget - Finals Week Prep Edition 

    April 22, 4 to 5 PM MST, Zoom

    Explore budget-friendly grocery planning, fast meal prep strategies, and freezer-friendly recipes, including vegetarian and vegan options. Leave with tools, tips, and ideas you can use before finals begin to save time, eat well, and reduce stress during finals week.

Together, these resources and workshops are designed to help you feel more confident, capable, and supported as you move through graduate school and prepare for what comes next.
