Chris Zatarain is a PhD student in the Applied Intercultural Arts Research Graduate Interdisciplinary Program (GIDP). He is particularly interested in environmental arts and humanities, especially ecomusicology and econarratology. Chris's background is in music, and he continues to study and perform as an oboist across southern Arizona, holding the 2nd oboe/English horn seat in the Sierra Vista Symphony Orchestra. Chris also works as a freelance photographer and videographer specializing in portrait photography and performing arts.
