Elizabeth Hagan

Elizabeth Hagan is a doctoral student at the UA School of Government and Public Policy. Her research interests are climate policy, climate justice, and the role of non-state actors in public policymaking in Ghana and Africa more broadly. She has over six years of experience in environmental consultancy, climate research, policy research, and gender studies, gained through work in both Ghana and Germany. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with a diverse range of stakeholders, including local communities, academics, students, policymakers, and industry leaders.
A trained mentor, Elizabeth is passionate about youth engagement and empowerment activities. In her leisure time, she enjoys eco-tourism and sightseeing, cooking cultural dishes with friends, and listening to gospel music.
