Maressa Kennedy is a doctoral student in Speech, Language & Hearing Science. She graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Psychology. During her undergraduate studies,  she conducted extensive research on infant dysphagia, which sparked her broader interest in communicative disorders and how they affect individuals across the lifespan. She is interested in conducting research on speech impairment, with a particular focus on understanding the underlying mechanisms in diverse populations. Outside of academics, Maressa enjoys doing crafts, watching movies, and spending time with her leopard gecko, Jiminey.
