Melissa McGee, PhD, MPH
Melissa McGee is the Program Coordinator for Professional Development and Alumni Relations in the Graduate College. In this role, she supports graduate students and postdoctoral scholars by designing resources and programming that build essential professional (soft) skills and strengthen career readiness. She also leads mentoring, storytelling, and community-building initiatives that connect graduate students and postdocs with a broad network of University of Arizona alumni. Melissa brings more than 30 years of experience across academic, health, and professional sectors, including her early career in public health education at the UA Campus Health Service and a decade as an instructional designer and academic writing specialist at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). Her work is rooted in learner-centered, inclusive program design and a commitment to helping individuals prepare for and pursue meaningful professional pathways. She holds a PhD in Health, Physical Education & Recreation from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Public Health from the University of Arizona.
