Paulette Nevarez

Paulette is a proud Latina raised in San Luis, Arizona. Growing up in a border town shaped her perspective on education and fueled her commitment to serving border communities. She earned her Master’s in Public Health from the University of Arizona and begins her PhD in Educational Policy and Leadership in Fall 2025. Her research interests are the impact of the border on educational outcomes and asset-based approaches that uplift students. She is passionate about advancing initiatives that center student success and equity, especially within Hispanic Serving Institutions and school districts. Paulette recently launched Grads Sin Fronteras, a platform dedicated to building community, sharing resources, and increasing representation in higher education. Through research, advocacy, and storytelling, she hopes to continue creating inclusive, justice-centered spaces where historically marginalized students can thrive.
