Solomon Hendrix is a doctoral student in the Entomology & Insect Sciences Graduate Interdisciplinary Program at the University of Arizona. He is interested in the diversity, evolution, and systematics of treehoppers, a group of charismatic herbivorous insects, throughout the Madrean Sky Island Archipelago of the Chihuahuan and Sonoran deserts. His undergraduate studies of planthopper morphological taxonomy, particularly among the Greater Antilles, effectuated an interest in island biogeography and the evolution of isolated herbivorous insect populations. In his free time, he loves macro photography, making noises with synthesizers, and checking his email.
