Victor Vigbedorh

Victor Vigbedorh is a writing consultant at the Graduate Writing Lab and a graduate assistant for the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Consortium (UROC). He is a master's student in Biomedical Engineering, with an interest in the intersection of biology and engineering subdisciplines to tackle food and health insecurity. His experiences in research have predominantly involved using invertebrates (The Madagascar hissing and Dubia cockroach) as low-cost models to studying addiction and drug-induced pathology. He also has experiences in agent-based modeling, systems biology, and gene editing in biotechnology and molecular biology contexts. 

Aside from research, Victor has acted as a peer and research mentor to undergraduate students across a variety of fields. His mentoring experiences have involved working with students to optimize use of their college experiences to accomplish their goals in research and in their local communities.
