Jade Pablo

Jade Pablo is a doctoral student in Higher Education at the University of Arizona and a proud member of the San Xavier District of the Tohono O’odham Nation. As a first-generation college graduate, her academic journey is grounded in lived experience and a deep commitment to uplifting Indigenous youth. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice Studies with a minor in American Indian Studies and holds a Master of Public Administration, both from the University of Arizona. Her research focuses on Indigenous student retention, culturally grounded mentorship, and institutional systems that support belonging and self-determination. Jade’s work is guided by the belief that education can be a tool for healing and liberation. In addition to her academic pursuits, Jade plays competitive fastpitch softball across Indian Country and sees the sport as more than a game – it is a space of cultural pride, community, and empowerment.
