Lenox Baloglou
Lenox Baloglou is a PhD student in the Applied Mathematics Graduate Interdisciplinary Program. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of Arizona in May 2025, where she discovered her passion for numerical analysis, partial differential equations, and the intersection of these fields with other sciences, primarily physics. During her undergraduate studies, she completed an honors thesis on the Lambert problem in orbital dynamics and participated in the Research Experiences in Computational Science, Engineering, and Mathematics (RECSEM) program at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she worked on generative adversarial networks with applications to financial markets. Originally from Maryland, Lenox enjoys reading classical literature, surrealist art (especially the works of Salvador Dalí), studying geography, and hunting for good finds at local antique stores in her spare time.
